So as to strengthen students’ love for the art of writing Chinese characters, further cultivate their favorable writing habits and improve the writing level of standard Chinese characters, Anqing Foreign Language School carried out the activity of standardizing the writing of Chinese characters. Students from each class in the Senior High Department took an active part in the writing practice every day, who have made remarkable progress after a semester.
As the ancient saying goes, ‘People can write and the word style is the man’. Students’ works were expressive and heart-to-heart. This activity not only guided students to write Chinese characters correctly, decently, neatly and aesthetically, but also increased their writing quality as a whole, which urged them to develop the good habit of being careful and patient in doing things. Therefore, parents and teachers expressed one after another that it was of lifelong benefit to let their children practice good handwriting.
